You’re now chatting with a random stranger. Say hi! Question to discuss: I was so alone and I owe you so much. Don’t worry, I’ll be with you soon. -JW Stranger: John, don’t! -SH You: S-Sherlock? But you’re… No I’m going crazy. This is some cruel joke isn’t it! It’s not you. It can’t be…-JW Stranger: John, it’s not a joke. -SH You: But you.. You died!-JW Stranger: Do you always believe everything you see? -SH You: I guess I shouldn’t… This is still so unreal. Prove to me you’re alive and I’m just not crazy. -JW Stranger: John…-SH Stranger: It’s cold outside. -SH You: Yes… That was a 50-50 chance Sherlock. Maybe I do need to see to believe. I need to know I’m not going crazy. -JW Stranger: You’re not going crazy. -SH Stranger: John, you didn’t see what I sent you. -SH Stranger: It’s cold outside. -SH You: Yes. It is cold today. But what does that prove? -JW Stranger: Open the door, John. -SH You: Fine. I’m going down the stairs now. Damn limp. -JW You: -Slowly takes the door knob and sighs softly- Stranger: “Your limp returned?” -Sherlock stands in the way, displeased with the cane in John’s hand- You: John just stood there his mouth fell open at the sight of his should be dead bestfriend. The cane fell from his hands. “S-Sherlock.” Stranger: “You’re not going mad. You’re too strong for that” You: “You bastard!” John yelled taking a swing at the man. “Three years Sherlock! Three bloody years. I thought you were rotting in the ground!” Stranger: “You need to understand, John. I didn’t have a choice.” You: John couldn’t stop the tears running quickly down his cheeks. He soon had his arms wrapped around Sherlock and was crying into the taller mans shoulder. Stranger: Sherlock doesn’t quite know what to do…so he awkwardly half-hugs John back “John…I wasn’t lying when I said it was cold outside. Would you mind letting me in?” You: John pulled himself off of Sherlock. “Yes please come in Sherlock.” the man smiled and held the door open for the man. Stranger: Sherlock makes his way upstairs, shouting over his shoulder “Drop the cane, John. You know you don’t need it” You: John quickly grabbed his cane off the old ground and followed in after Sherlock. “Not anymore I don’t,” the army doctor said softly to himself. (Just curious do you have tumblr?) Stranger: (I do! corinnalee.tumblr.com. You?) “So, John, is this proof enough?” You: (Awesome! I’ll follow you. Mines Welcometogeektown.tumblr.com) “I suppose so unless of course you end up vanishing on me, but you better sit down and start explaining all of this to me,” John laughed lightly. Stranger: “It was my life, or yours.” You: “So you died, or well should have died for me? Why?” John asked and fell into his favorite chair making himself comfortable. He didn’t completely forgive the man but he was happy that Sherlock was alive and that’s all that mattered. Stranger: “Moriarty would have had you, and Mrs Hudson and…everyone I care about killed if I didn’t jump.” Sherlock continues to stand not making eye contact with John. You: “Then why are you here right now? If you pretend to die for us then why are you back?” Stranger: “Where is my skull?” You: John frowned as Sherlock ignored his question. “Mrs.Hudson took it a long time ago. Not sure what she did with it.” Stranger: “Shame…my violin?” You: “Hasn’t been touched for three years. It’s in the same spot that you left it,” Watson explained Stranger: “My experiments?” You: “Molly came to do whatever with any body parts and mrs.Hudson and I cleaned out every unknown liquid or substance. All the tubes and the lot have been cleaned and put away in a box for safe keeping.” Stranger: “Mycroft has been here….but you didn’t let him touch anything?” You: “He drops by a fair amount. He says he worries. Doesn’t ever touch anything though and rarely stays more than a few minutes.” Stranger: “Only thing he worries about it making sure that you still think I’m dead” You: “What do you mean,” John asked tilting his head slightly. Stranger: “He’s known that I’m alive for a fair amount of time.” You: “And why haven’t I known?” John raised an eyebrow slightly annoyed by this. Why did you make me live through these painful three years?” Stranger: “I had to make sure it was safe.” You: “And so it’s safe now?” John shifted nervously in his seat. “You know life can’t fully be as it once was right?” Stranger: Sherlock looks over and smiles, ignoring John’s question again. You: “Okay okay fine You aren’t going to answer that. But at least sit down and tell me what the hell you’ve been up to these last few years,” John motioned towards the couch. Stranger: Sherlock sits on the couch, but still does not answer. He doesn’t want John to know…just yet, anyway. You: “Why won’t you answer me Sherlock,”Watson asked feeling left out. This was his best friend after all. Stranger: “I don’t know if it was safe to come back or not. I was hoping it would be. I’ve been searching for Moriarty.” You: “Is he not dead,” John looked rather confused. They found his body on the roof with a bullet through the back of his head.” Stranger: “And you saw me jump, and thought that I died.” You: “Yes how did you survive that?” Stranger: “I had some help.” You: “From? Sherlock one dies not simply jump off a bloody building and live to tell the tale.” Stranger: “I’m different” Sherlock leans back, and stares above John’s head. “Molly.” You: “Different but not invincible. You’re still human Sherlock even if you don’t like admitting to it.” You: “But I’m glad you’re alive.” Stranger: “And I’m glad you didn’t do anything irrational.” You: “I just might have. I didn’t realize how Linley my life really was until you weren’t in it anymore. You showed me how to live again Sherlock and I can never thank you enough for that.”
